I think, therefore I write

Wings of Fury

tumblrImage Source: tumblr

She wanted to spread her wings and fly,
They held her back from rising high,
She fought back, asking them to let her try,
But suppress was all they did.

Questions – How, when, what and why?
All of them – unspoken and without answers,
But never once did she give up and cry,
For when it came to life, she was a dancer

Her wings were bound hard to be cut
She knew they were her best bet
If at all she wanted to strike back
This was her last chance to hack

So that’s what she did, rose with all her might
Against her fury, little chance they had to stand
Everyone vanished as if banished by her wand
And she emerged as her own savior knight!

Until later 🙂

I loved this – mostly because it reminded of me, though I am still at the struggling part. And the title “Wings of Fury” felt at home with “Wings of Harmony” 😀 <3

Thanks Pradeeta 🙂 Hope you will get to fly soon.

Of course, I am following your blog but I am having trouble with my feed reader a little bit. It keeps messing up with the dates and posts. I see a post ‘Dear Querida’ in Sep 2014. Hope I haven’t missed any of your new posts.

Wow! This was beautiful! So much of hope and motivation in those lines. Often, the only thing that are holding us back from our dreams are ourselves. Glad that she decided to rise up and be her own savior. We need more women like her!

Thank you Aathira! It is true that if we harness the power within us, we can just about do anything.

This relates so much to the women in India. Not all, but most of them. Some rare, lucky ones do have people around them who gets the value of their wings. But many of them are taught to use the wings to cover themselves, suppress the wings to protect themselves, not to use them, not to fly and watch those wings wither and die.
This would motivate many people Keirthana. Well written! 🙂

Thanks Ranjini! True and I would be glad if this motivates someone out there to never give up.
